"Trifles" is a short play written by Susan Glaspell in 1916. It's set in a farmhouse where a man has been killed. The main suspect is his wife. While the men are looking for big clues, two women notice small details in the house that tell a bigger story about the wife's life. The play shows how often women's experiences and ideas are ignored by men. Glaspell's message is that even small things can reveal big truths.
