Health is essential for him; everyone should have access to food, housing and healthcare. He also values friendships and believes in the importance of community. Haldane also enjoys adventures and thinks life's challenges are essential. He differentiates between wants and actual needs and feels peace and safety are lacking in the modern world, especially after the World Wars and the rise of dictators. Inspired by Socrates, he hopes to be brave and principled till the end.
